About ZAS

Cultivating Zimbabwe's agriculture since 1895

For 131 years the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society has championed agriculture, innovation and community — connecting farmers, industry and the nation to build a prosperous future.

Established in 1895, the ZAS seeks to promote agriculture and its supporting activities, to facilitate agricultural development in Zimbabwe. With an estimated two million visits to its Business Hub annually, and vehicular traffic of at least 400 000 vehicles a year, the ZAS has an enviable national record among the agricultural and business communities and the public who have come to expect an improved and entertaining business Show each year. On average, over 200 000 people attend the rebranded Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, formerly the Harare Agricultural Show, annually.

Powering Growth — where Agriculture, Technology and Commerce converge

Sustainable growth depends on the integration of productive farming systems, technological innovation, and strong commercial linkages. When these elements operate together, they strengthen value chains and support inclusive rural transformation.

Agriculture

The foundation. Crop and livestock production, natural resource management, irrigation, and farmer capacity — the productive systems that generate output and ensure food security.

Technology

The catalyst. Mechanisation, digital agriculture, improved genetics, precision farming, climate-smart practices and research — turning traditional production into modern, competitive enterprise.

Commerce

The driver of value. Market access, agro-processing, financing, logistics and value-chain coordination — what turns agricultural output into income, employment and investment.
