About Us

Established in 1895, the ZAS seeks to promote agriculture and its supporting activities, to facilitate agricultural development in Zimbabwe. With an estimated two million visits to its Business Hub annually, and vehicular traffic of at least 400 000 vehicles a year, the ZAS has an enviable national record among the agricultural and business communities and the public who have come to expect an improved and entertaining business Show each year. On average, over 200 000 people attend the rebranded Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, formerly Harare Agricultural Show annually.

Purpose

• “To promote agriculture and its supporting activities, and to facilitate agricultural development in Zimbabwe.”
• “To establish, hold, promote, manage, control, support, assist or participate in … (“shows”) of every description which are calculated to promote or stimulate interest in agriculture, horticulture, mining, the conservation of natural resources, industry and commerce …”
• ”To organize competitions, demonstrations, tournaments, conferences … and to issue publications for the benefit … or instruction of members or other persons …” in spheres highlighted in (b), and
• “To hold, promote, manage, control, support or participate in sales of livestock, agricultural or horticultural products and of anything which may have been exhibited and to sell produce of its land.
